THE SAMBVESKI PLAN
THE SAMBEVSKI PLAN
Over a Decade of Highway Department Experience
Better Planning. Better Maintenance. Better Service.
After more than a decade working in the Clarkstown Highway Department, I've seen firsthand what works and what doesn't. Clarkstown deserves better planning, stronger leadership, and reliable service residents can count on.
My plan is simple: plan ahead, keep an open line of communication with residents, respond promptly, and make sure your hard-earned tax dollars are spent wisely.
ROADS
Under Bob Milone
Without a comprehensive long-term road maintenance plan, roads continue to deteriorate and small problems become bigger, more expensive repairs.
Rob Sambevski Will
Implement a comprehensive long-term road maintenance plan, repair potholes promptly, and fix small road problems before they become costly repairs.
BRUSH PICKUP
Under Bob Milone
Residents are often left waiting weeks for brush pickup.
Rob Sambevski Will
Improve scheduling, monitor routes daily, and adjust crews when needed to provide dependable brush pickup.
FLOODING & DRAINAGE
Under Bob Milone
Routine drainage maintenance hasn't been a priority, contributing to flooding during heavy rain.
Rob Sambevski Will
Inspect and clean storm drains year-round, maintain drainage systems on a regular schedule, address blocked drains and known problem areas, and stay ahead of drainage issues to help reduce the risk of flooding.
GRANT FUNDING
Under Bob Milone
Grant funding hasn't been a priority.
Rob Sambevski Will
Aggressively pursue state and federal grants to bring more funding back to the Clarkstown Highway Department for roads, drainage improvements, and equipment, helping reduce the burden on taxpayers.
SNOW REMOVAL
Under Bob Milone
Crews are often called in after snow has already accumulated, putting both Highway Department employees and residents at risk. Poor planning also left the department short on salt during last winter's storms, creating hazardous driving conditions.
Rob Sambevski Will
Keep the salt barn stocked before every storm, call crews in early, and treat roads before snow and ice create dangerous driving conditions.
SIDEWALKS
Under Bob Milone
Damaged sidewalks remain unrepaired, creating safety concerns for pedestrians, and sidewalk snow removal isn't completed promptly.
Rob Sambevski Will
Inspect sidewalks regularly, repair hazards promptly, and clear sidewalks after snowstorms so residents can walk safely year-round.
Clarkstown Deserves Better.
I've worked alongside the dedicated men and women of the Highway Department and know the commitment they bring to the job every day. The problem isn't the people doing the work, it's the leadership.
As Highway Superintendent, I'll bring proactive planning, faster response, and responsible management to deliver the reliable service Clarkstown residents deserve.
On November 3, Vote Rob Sambevski for Highway Superintendent.
